Night is my favorite time of day. Not the 7-10 p.m. kind of night but the 12 a.m. onwards kind of night. When everything is pitch dark outside and you’re the only one awake in the house. That’s the night I love.
Everything’s so peaceful and it’s even better when there are other people awake on AIM chatting with you. People say I get way too sentimental and sappy at nighttime, but I don’t really care. No one else has the energy to stay awake. Usually, it’s just you and that one person who decided to be your fellow insomniac for the day. There aren’t any distractions and you can talk about anything. I usually talk about life and various deep-sounding things. It helps to play smooth atmosphere jazz like Nujabes to fit in with the mood.
It’s just fun to stay up with a friend doing something that no one else would be doing. You guys talk about how dumb it is to stay up so late because you’ll end up sleeping into the afternoon the next day, but both of you know it doesn’t really matter. It’s all about the present and the present is nothing but a long night of wonderful online adventures.
If any of you out there stay up until 4-5 a.m. every day, IM me at chinkolo and talk to me. You’ll learn so much about me and vice versa because after 12, I just stop caring about the words I type. Anything goes.
